- Pericles Strategy : r/civ - RedditIts tempting to use the owls because of the envoy bonus, but if you build apandada you should be fine on envoys. The voidsingers give a nice culture boost to based on faith. The annoying part is that pericles gets no faith bonus, so you really have to push faith and ignore culture for a bit. Wonders can come later, tourism is the focus.

Honestly for single player deity I would definitively rank Pericles behind Aztec, Macedon, Persia, Sumeria, Korea and Nubia. From the get go you can run more cards than basically anyone else, and also do stuff like run wildcard only options (e.g. Strategos, Inspiration, Revelation) super early to get a leg up on your great person of choice.
