These fish are healthy and have learned to thrive off of the Blue-Back Herring population that the Mountain Lakes boast. During the late summer months Yellow Perch group up in the grass and brush around the shorelines.

I purchased 100' of uncoated (key factor) steel cable (3/8"), a few heavy duty screw in grounding anchors, two cable clips and 2 cable thimbles,2 large twist in screw eyes, and a few U nails.

- Yonah Dam tailrace (tugaloo river into Hartwell) | GON ForumIt starts with walleye in the early spring, followed by white bass, hybrids, and stripers along about the time that the dogwoods are blooming. You might pick up a yellow perch in the tailrace, but would fare better in any of the mountain lakes above there. Rabun, Seed, and Burton are loaded with them.
