Bookmark or Share- "Batman: Caped Crusader" Season One Talkback (Spoilers)On the one hand it did take me by surprise that the story was so different from what I've heard was planned for BTAS, on the other this still gives me hope that the original Nocturna story can someday be adapted in comic form for the BTAS continuity, along with other unproduced scripts like the one with the gun that killed Batman's parents and the one with the Endless.
- The Penguin in Animation: A Retrospective - Anime Superhero ForumAlfred is his pre 66 Batman here, a portly fellow who Batman himself seems to have little regard for beyond his Butler duties. Wayne uses his playboy façade well in the show, but it did feel odd to see Wayne so cold to Pennyworth… thankfully this was a character evolution spot and he admits his horrible actions towards Alfred in the finale.
- Best and Worst Animated Versions of DC Heroes and Heroines6. ALFRED PENNYWORTH BEST - The 2004 version from The Batman, voiced by Alastair Duncan. The most fully developed version of the character, with an entirely believable, three-dimensional personality!! He was his own character for once, and the snarkier personality with the bitingly, even cuttingly sarcastic remarks were such a refreshing treat.

- The Penguin in Animation: A Retrospective | Anime Superhero ForumThis sees Ozzy return to Gotham to try and reclaim his family’s lost fortune and his place in high society. There is a built in feud with Bruce Wayne who epitomises the wealth and class of Gotham and Alfred Pennyworth, whose Grandfather was also a butler who was mistreated by the previous generations of Cobblepots.
