Bookmark or Share- Overall "best" solid state Peavey guitar amp?Peavey Pacer 100-SS is one of the best amps if not the best for dirt box distortion. I have been using these for decades . I run them clean with a closed back modification (board with insulation screwed in the back with speaker jack) EVM 12 Proline speaker vastly improves the sound. Master on 10 ,EQ'S on 10, no reverb ,input volume low .
- IPR Amps - Peavey ForumI dont think Ill sell my 4080s as I still use them on Outdoor events with added Subs, but the rest are gone. Ive got about 5 years on my Sub amps, and hoping I get another 5 and more as dependability is a plus. Peaveys amps could take a whoopin and just keep cranking the power out.
- Author Topic: Thoughts on the Peavey Nashville 112 - Steel Guitar ForumThe Paramid EQ in the Peavey Steel Guitar amps are different and proper settings on these controls is a must for the amp to sound correct. Those that are used to different EQ systems tend to have a problem with the Paramid EQ. In general the Mid needs to be set on a minus (cut) setting (I use approx -3) and the Shift approx 800 HZ.
