That way on the same space you can have 3, 4, even 5 close combat units, attacking the same 1 enemy unit. Put simply, using patrol makes your close combat units much more effective.

- Hacking DE - what is possible so far? | Page 7 - AoEZoneWhen unit is commanded to attack or patroll it moves faster, that is why a scout can reach and hit another sc of the very same speed, cause it is going slightly faster, same happens when patrolling, i thought that was a known thing, that is how the archers can escape from skirms.
