Bookmark or Share- Is this a 100% German P226? If so, what’s it worth? - SIG TalkAnyhow, I have always wanted a P226, preferably a German made one without the railed frame. Since being new-in-box was a requirement, I pretty much wrote it off and settled on getting a US made P226 Nitron. I have been waiting for them to be restocked and they still haven’t, so I still am not the owner of a P226.

It has a level of refinement, elegance and performance that rivals other high end pistols IMHO. The Reserve collection P226 X Five feels great in my hand. Sig is only making 1000 of these and I feel fortunate to have grabbed one.
- Decreasing the value of a 'Classic' (1988) P226 - SIG TalkAmong my firearms I have a 1988 Sig Sauer P226 with West German proof marks and matching serial numbers on the slide, barrel and frame. It has a lot of rounds thru it and 30+ years of holster wear have left their 'patina' on the slide. Except for replacing the original grips and springs, everything is orginal.
- Different P226 Variations - SIG TalkWhat's the difference between the standard Sig P226, the MK25, the Extreme, and the Scorpion? Also, only the standard and the MK25 models are on Sig's website; the Extreme and Scorpion are not. I know that the Extreme is still being made because a few LGS have deliveries occasionally and they're brand new.
- Optics red dot recommendation for 226 x5 - SIG TalkThe best: Trijicon RMR Type 2 Adjustable for combat pistols. Trijicon SRO for competition. Your call… for example: my P226 X5 Legion has the SRO, my WMK-25-TB has the RMR. Sig Romeo-X Pro is also super nice! Sig red dots have the same footprint as the RMR and Holosun. Good luck!
