Bookmark or Share- Trying to open a dds file closes photoshop 22.5.1 - Adobe Support CommunityStarted back in Photoshop CC 21 and has carried over to PS CC 2022. The Nvidia and Intel Texture Works plugins work fine from within Photoshop if you select open-as (plugin) to open .dds files. But trying to open .dds from windows explorer, or directly import into PS crashes the program everytime. This is a Photoshop problem, not a plugin problem.

I googled that I couldn't open my Photoshop v.25.6; it kept getting stuck at the welcome window. I found this thread and followed your instructions and it opened fine! (It did say that it had stopped running although the program was working fine, lol!) Thanks so much!
- Photo does not open from Lightroom - Adobe Support CommunityPhotoshop, then Photoshop does indeed open on screen but no image. I can only get the image to open if I choose 'open as smart object in Photoshop' which is reall not what I want. So, I have to go into the raw images folder and open the file by knowing the filename number and then it opens in Photoshop. This is a new behavior.

I don't know what to do, I tried to erase the cache, install an old version, delete and install it again, but nothing works. I'm using a MacBook Air M1, and haven't had the issue ever before.
