Bookmark or Share- Ballina to have Tower - PPRuNe ForumsThe OAR draft airspace review report is open for feeback until 17 July and can be accessed via the CASA Consultation Hub. CASA's Office of Airspace Regulation (OAR) released a draft report this morning that made nine recommendations, which included establishing a Class D tower no later than 30 November 2023.
- BOAC Navigators - PPRuNe ForumsIn 1967, there were no straight navigators carried on BOAC aircraft, although there were one or two still in supervisory admin jobs in the Nav Office. After that, all navigation on BOAC aircraft was carried out by one or other of the two dual qualified co-pilots who held both a CPL/SCPL/ATPL and a Flight Navigator's Licence.

- Met Office : Research Flying [Archive] - PPRuNe ForumsThey used some of the same instrumentation as MRF, but were managed from a different bit of the Met Office and had a rather different role. 202 were flying "meteorological reconnaissance flights" to provide daily inputs into the daily Met Office forecasts, whilst MRF was conducting research flying to support developing forecasting science. - Formula for Radius of Turn - PPRuNe ForumsAviationluver, Wikipaedia is correct, as is Microburst. You just have to be consistent with the units. I.e. if you want metres for the radius you must use metres per second for v and metres per second squared for g.
