What does the word *sharp* mean in the context?
Here are two examples of context. Come at ten o'clock sharp. She said she was going to ring at nine a.m. sharp. Does it mean "exactly"?
Should I say "I will come 'on' / 'in' / 'at' the time"?
(which is 10:00 sharp) - this is very specific time-wise, you'll arrive on the dot - 10 o'clock sharp. "I will come in time." (there's a time limit and you'll arrive within that acceptable time limit) - earlier than 10:00 or 10:00 sharp.
At around or at round - English Language Learners Stack Exchange
I came around five o'clock. or. I came at about five o'clock. This is according to the Cambridge Dictionary, so proper BrE. With the word "round" it won't work, that means only movement (or shape), not approximation.
