Bookmark or Share- What are some words I could use to call someone who is not good at work ...Do not call him anything. It is not for us to judge others, especially at the workplace. You should not have "didn't like him because of his performance," which is improper. This is an etiquette/workplace related issue, though. If you still want to know the word you are looking for, post an appropriate impersonal question here. –
- What are the differences between "seems not" and "doesn't seem"?Technically speaking, the 'answer' is wrong: inserting a 'not' in between the 'to' and a verb in its infinitive form (i.e. 'to not want', 'to not be') is NEVER proper English; that's called a 'split infinitive'. The negation 'not' should go on one side or the other of the infinitive - immediately adjacent to it.

Something that seems like a good idea but after execution turns out to be problematic . I heard the expression "A gold shield", something that looks appealing but is not suitable for the task, gold being beautiful but soft and heavy, offering poor protection.

- Is there a word to describe someone who's not good at talking?'Inarticulate' is not it either, it sounds like something is physically wrong with them. 'Ineloquent' is more of not being clever with words, not able to persuade others with words, which is not what I'm looking for. I don't know if there's even a word for this. Anyway, I just want a way to describe this trait using as few words as possible.
