Bookmark or Share- Speaker upgrade (Alpine 9 spk) - 5thGenRams ForumsIt would be nice to have a better harder hitting sub but with the idiosyncrasy of the of the factory amp and the noise canceling system I'm probably going to leave that alone. I may have lost a little volume with the 3 ohm spks but I suspect they are higher efficiency than stock so its likely about the same as before.
- Disabling Active Noise Cancellation | 5thGenRams ForumsJust came from the dealer. The original TSB 08-03319 has been superseded by a new one, TSB 08-056-19. It instructs the dealer service people to reflash the Active Noise Cancelation (ANC) module and has a specific method for doing it. The symptoms described in the TSB are exactly as described in most if not all the comments on this thread.

- wind noise from the sunroof - 5thGenRams ForumsSince the cold weather has moved back in the noise has come back. I did notice that the whistling sound I here is not from the sunroof. It actually comes from the noise canceling speakers in the roof. High speed or strong head wind sets it off. I assume this is happening because of the high wind noise coming from the sunroof. Poor design!!!
- Replaced speakers and lost Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)???This morning when I went for the first post-install drive it was immediately obvious that Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) was not working. And dear sweet Mama that motor is noisy! I mean, talk about a crazy droning sound. No wonder Ram puts ANC in their trucks. Woof. But it got me wondering…why is it not working?
