Nicaraguans have been known to eat guinea pigs, [282] known as cuy. Tapirs, iguanas, turtle eggs, armadillos and boas are also sometimes eaten, but because of extinction threats to these wild creatures, there are efforts to curb this custom. More @Wikipedia
