Bookmark or Share- Francis Ngannou vs. Jon Jones - As of today who would win?Ngannou's only chance is a Hail Mary bomb, and how many times have you seen Jones take a solid shot? Not very often. Also, Jones is at his best when he is highly motivated, and this fight would motivate him, especially since it would be his last fight. I would pick Aspinall over Ngannou also, for the same reason, a better ground game.
- If Ngannou beats Renan Ferreira, where do you rank him among the best ...A loss is a loss. If Ngannou's active win streak does not count due to inactivity, why would Aspinall's loss and subsequent inactivity be swept under the rug? Ngannou had the same injury and beat Gane 3 weeks later. I think Aspinall has good claim to be current #1 due to having the best recent wins. But his record does not come close to Ngannou ...
- I believe Ngannou would've made more in the UFC if he stayed.Ngannou made 10 million fighting Fury. Assuming that 8 million number is true, it was a one time offer specifically against Jon Jones due to the magnitude of the fight. Had Ngannou lost his pay would have gone down significantly. Had Ngannou won but then fought a less popular fighter, his pay would have gone down significantly.
- Francis Ngannou, Jon Jones, and Tom Aspinall: Will We Get Any of This ...Simple question, Sherfriends, will we get any of the biggest of the big fights featuring Jon Jones, Tom Aspinall, and Francis Ngannou? No disrespect to Stipe, but he is on the verge of retirement and unlikely to be a factor after Jones-Miocic. Once that fights take place there is a 'BIG THREE' in terms of the current MMA era at heavyweight.
- If Ngannou beats Renan Ferreira, where do you rank him among the best ...#2, as I just believe Aspinall would beat him. Jon Jones isn't even currently ranked, he has been inactive far too long and grapplefucked white belt heel hook the wrong way trains only during camp Gane. If it was anyone else, Tomothy Aspinall would be deservedly holding the belt and the question would rightfully be Ngannou vs Tom.
