Bookmark or Share- MoCA network stopped working | TiVo Community ForumUnfortunately we can not get the main box to recognize the Mini’s via MoCA. We only have 1 Ethernet port at the location and because it’s a condo cannot practically add more. I am thinking about installing a Netgear Orbi at the house. Can I plug a mini into the Ethernet port on the Orbi satellites and solve my problem? Thank you,

Thus, as far as Tivo is concerned, it has a hardwired ethernet connection, but the connection is actually wireless. Netgear makes several mesh router models, all of which contain standard ethernet ports.

And they said I should connect my units to the 2.4ghz, but orbi does not give you the option to split their signals. They are just both active and let's the device choose whatever is the better signal. Which for these 2 units is the 5ghz.

I have a good environment for wireless but needed a wireless mesh to really service the whole house. So I bought the Netgear Orbi gear at Costco for a fair price. This is a very popular mesh network product and I assume other mesh networks should be alright with the mini as well.
