Nabu was one of the most popular gods in ancient Mesopotamia, especially at Borsippa and Babylon, but assumed greater importance under the Assyrians. He is best known as Nebo in the Bible (Isaiah 46:1-2) and Mount Nebo is named after him. More @Wikipedia
