Personally I think Mobile Infantry is the better branch, but Blitzkrieg has its upsides.
- Mobile Infantry or Blitzkrieg? | Paradox Interactive ForumsSo, Mobile Infantry is better than Blitzkrieg in majority of cases then, except in case of "tank only" divisions, that are very fragile without HP from infantry. Breakthrough can become overkill and saturate when is bigger than enemy attack. Even in tank divisions motorized gives more organization than tanks and the speed buff helps a lot.

Blitzkrieg doesn't modify normal infantry at all. On the other hand, mobile infantry doesn't get the breakthrough tactic, which is an excellent tactic, but I don't really know the tactics system enough to know how big an advantage getting a good one is. 2.
