Bookmark or Share- Best concentricity gauge? - Long Range Hunting ForumI have both gauges pictured below and they measure runout two different ways. The RCBS case mastering gauge is the Swiss Army knife of gauges and measures runout, case wall thickness and neck thickness.
- Short action customs modular sizing dies - Long Range Hunting Forumi do have a set of mitutoyo calipers and digital mic, forster coax. also have av4 autotrickler on the way. was gonna get sinclair trimmer for now and also their hand primer. gonna get the sac comparator set. im just confused on dies and also plan on using mandrels. thanks any help is appreciated
- Struggling with Seating Depth Precision - 300 PRC - MonometalsI'm using a Hornady COAL gauge with the 30 caliber insert and a Mitutoyo Absolute Digimatic Caliper. I've tried seating with no lube on the interior of the case. I've tried seating after lubing and neck sizing with some RCBS case lube in the neck with a light cleaning with alcohol on a q-tip after sizing.
- Necking Norma .340 Brass to .308(BAER)????? - Long Range Hunting ForumThe guy on the other forum is correct about the Redding Bushing Dies only sizing part of the neck, mine size all the neck-I had them cut out. Also you mentioned turning your necks to .0125" which would be fine, I turn mine to .013" just a little closer. I use a wall tubing micrometer by Mitutoyo that reads in ten thousandths which works well.
- My Lapua 300 prc brass experience...... - Long Range Hunting ForumYes I used a 324 then 314 bushing. Loaded od on lapua is 3165 and adg 3145 with my mitutoyo outside micrometer. Your lot of ADG must be thicker than mine. When I necked down the ADG, I used a 324 bushing, then ran into a FL 7saum non bushing die. The FL die may have flowed some the brass into the shoulder. Idk
