It looked otherworldly. From another time or place. From what could have been an alien, nonhuman mind. Brewster thought that Dyson had been anything but an ordinary man.

- Why did John Connor want to stop the killing of Miles Dyson?In other words, if you've oversimplified the situation into thinking that killing Dyson would end Skynet, then you're wrong, because it wouldn't have, it didn't; and furthermore, even more thorough measures like destroying Dyson's research (on top of Dyson dying at the facility and liquefying both terminators) were still not enough.

If Skynet and Terminator, both are created by Cyberdyne, using the microprocessor that is created by Miles Dyson, but in the second part he dies before creating that microprocessor and Cyberdyne headquarters is destroyed, so that means Skynet was never created.
- time travel - How was Skynet created in the original timeline ...Since this Terminator told Sarah about Cyberdyne's involvement in 1b's future, the future was influenced much more severely by blowing the facility up and by making sure Miles Dyson didn't research Cybernetics any more (his death wasn't necessary for this though, his survival might even have helped preventing the post-T2-Skynets from happening).
