- Dell PowerVault TL2000 - Media AttentionSince then the led of the media attention is on and the system status shows "Media attention" with a yellow e xclamation mark. Steps I took : I run the diagnostic tool and it finished with no errors. Run the advanced diagnostic tool and it too finished with no errors. Went through the the logs and the drive logs - all clear.
- TL2000 - Media Attention / Error - 0x38 - DellF.10 -> same alert messages. Slot to slot tests passedsuccessfully.. But Drive 1 Status changed from "Error" to "Idle"! The Media attention still exists. Our installed Drive Firmware: (LTO4 FH SAS) -> Revision C7QH. This seems to be the latest firmware revision for LTO4 Drives. The drive inventory still shows:
- Dell PowerVault TL2000 Tape Library Drive 2 Status errorSince you are not able to do a cleaning on the drive as it won’t accept any media then in this case I would replace the drive if it is still under warranty. If it is not still under warranty then what I would do is to see if you can manually load the cleaning media into the drive & see if it will clean the drive.
- TL 4000 problems with Media - DellIt recognizes all tapes, its able to read the barcodes (from old and new tapes) but as soon as a job starts it gives the message BAD MEDIA. When I try to erase a new or old tape its giving the exact same message: BAD MEDIA An orange light starts blinking on the drive as well.
