The SCR2 has a cable with a special 4 bladed plug that connects to the rear panel of a compatible McIntosh preamp. The amp speaker outputs are connected to the input terminal of the SCR2.

C26, C28, C29, C33 - Audiokarma Home Audio Stereo ...I am looking for Mc preamp with MC2505, currently, I am using a tube preamp (runing 2X6922 tube) and thinking if buying a Mc preamp for MC2505. Which one is good match with MC2505? C26, C28, C29 and C33. These all are approx. generation. Thanks for any comments.

My choice in class, if I was shopping pre-owned Mac for myself, would be the 2100 for it's classic appearance, or the later engineering generation 754 (or 7100 for a modern look and slim fit) for my listening pleasure.
