It seems to be a matter of preference and i prefer a Donegan visor with a loupe for clock work. I wear glasses so I use a clip on loupe for watch/pivot work. Find the amount that works for your eyes (10x for my watch work) and I also have some 30x for up close look at pivots.

It'll give some, and the skin will usually overlap the lip. Then the upper edge gets tucked in just below the brow. Leave your eye open while doing this. A few tries and it'll be old hat.

- Loupes - NAWCC ForumsPossibly not though. Having had trouble fitting clip on lenses and loupes to my glasses I made my own loupe frame from a wire coat hanger. Just like wire specs but a one holer to take a loupe of my choice to fit snugly over my left eye. When I need to use my specs I just swing the loupe frame up to sit on my forehead.
