Bookmark or Share- SUMIFS function - Microsoft SupportThe SUMIFS function, one of the math and trig functions, adds all of its arguments that meet multiple criteria. For example, you would use SUMIFS to sum the number of retailers in the country who (1) reside in a single zip code and (2) whose profits exceed a specific dollar value.
- Protect an Excel file - Microsoft SupportTo learn the difference between protecting your Excel file, workbook, or a worksheet, see Protection and security in Excel. Select File > Info. Select the Protect Workbook box and choose Encrypt with Password. Enter a password in the Password box, and then select OK.
- Excel file is locked for editing - Microsoft SupportThe first thing to try is to turn off the Shared Workbook feature. Also, if you are opening a snapshot from SharePoint, open the workbook itself instead. If those two solutions don't work, try one or more of the following. If possible, remove password encryption or restricted access from the file.
- Lock cells to protect them - Microsoft SupportFollow these steps to lock cells in a worksheet: Select the cells you want to lock. On the Home tab, in the Alignment group, select the small arrow to open the Format Cells popup window. On the Protection tab, select the Locked check box, and then select OK to close the popup.
