- Perfect neck relief and string height for a Les PaulI've seen some different setup opinions so I figured I'd ask here. What do you pro techs/luthiers think is the best neck relief and string height for low/fast action and minimal buzz on a Les Paul? I adjusted my truss rod and capoing the first and fretting the 17th I've got .012 on either side.
- Thoughts on 2019/2020 Gibson Les Paul Standard 50s and 60s?I've played a $10k custom shop Les Paul something or other (VOS finish, rolled edges -- just a beast) and it was as near to perfect as a Les Paul could be. To me, it is still not worth the extra scratch. I need a good Les Paul to do the Les Paul thing well and to feel and look good doing it - all for $2k or less.
