I did some google searching and I see people say they 'reconcile' Lann with his mother. All I was able to do was get him to the point where his breaks the arrow and asks me not to tell her. There is a way to avoid it. In their duel in Act 3, you need to pick the Evil option and tell her shes not worthy to serve. She later comes back in Act 5.
