Bookmark or Share- Kuhn gmd3550 trail disc mower - Hay & Forage ForumKuhn has been building cutter bars for a long time, it is a very well designed unit. I have no idea about the twine getting wrapped around the unit as my fields are somewhat manicured. I would say true.....in a perfect situation, sometimes imperfect situations occur in the field.
- Krone EC3200 vs Kuhn GMD3150TL - Hay & Forage ForumI know there are numerous threads relating to Krone and Kuhn disc mowers individually but I am hoping that someone has some insight previously unshared. I will be selling one of my JD2280 swathers and purchasing a disc mower shortly. It is a toss up between the two mowers listed above. I do not need a conditioner.
- Kuhn HayBob360 - Hay & Forage ForumAs much as 3 point equipment can be a pain it might be the best bet for my situation. I currently have a 1980s vintage Kuhn 3 point rake/tedder combo. It works well but is pretty well worn. It doesn't pivot at the hitch like I understand the new haybob does. Using a trailed mower followed by a 3 point tedder can make some funky corners.
- Rotary Rake - Kuhn, Krone, or Pequea? Decisions, decisions...I looked at the H&S, apparently is undercarriage wears out premature. Its made by enrossi. I was told look for a rake that the tines do not wrap around the tine arm so the springs can spring. Kuhn runs bkt tires,I thought that was a plus. Height adjustment and shield seem pretty easy on the kuhn, but thats comparing to a 20+year old model.
- Kuhn accumulator & grapple | Hay & Forage ForumKuhn offers a stainless steel kit (either factory install or self installed) that goes on the top area of the accumulator. This kit costs about $260 and really improves the slide-ability, he told me. He suggested a 'wait and see' if you needed this kit or not (steep hillside baling or straw in me case).
