Amazon most of the time will include a note that says "Send a personalized thank you note" and if they go to that link (Or scan QR code) the note will come up that says "Hi your name thank you for the gift" or something like that.. so they will be able to tell that it was from you if they know to do that.
- How do I check my promotional credit with Amazon?Perhaps worth noting: I have never seen any credit appear in the "Kindle Editions" box, but I have definitely had these credits apply to kindle books. Unfortunately there is no way to know that they will be applied until after you purchase the kindle book (because you can only buy them with one-click). –
