Bookmark or Share- Keukenhof and Delft in one day? - Rick Steves Travel ForumYeah it's doable. Keukenhof is open until 7:30pm (last entrance at 6pm). So you can spend the morning and early afternoon in Delft, then take the train to Haarlem (it's on the same train line) and from there the direct bus to the gardens. Best to visit Delft on a Sunday when the outdoor markets are operating.

We rented bikes at Keukenhof and rode around the tulip fields and then went into the park itself around 2pm, and there was no line to get in (compared to the swarm of people when we first got there in the morning). I think you will love both Haarlem and Keukenhof!!
- Keukenhof (in the rain?) - Rick StevesAt least most of the paths in Keukenhof are hard-paved, and you can use an umbrella, because the trees shelter the wind to a great extent. You'd be worse off if you had to ascend a mountain for the view, and it happened to be a foggy day! Perhaps the usual Times-Square crowding at Keukenhof will be a bit better.
- Haarlem and Keukenhof in one day? - Rick Steves Travel ForumI was thinking in switching Harlem and Keukenhof's time of day, like this: Amsterdam --> Haarlem (lunch, cruise) --> Keukenhof (until 7:30pm) --> Haarlem --> Amsterdam. It seems there are buses from Keukenhof to Haarlem until quite late. At least until 10pm, if not more, from what I could see in a quick check on google maps. Looking forward to ...
- Keukenhof Gardens in mid-May? - Rick Steves Travel ForumWe are planning on a trip to the Netherlands in May, provided that it seems safe with pandemic conditions. We originally were planning on arriving somewhere between the 19th and the 22nd and are meeting friends for a Scandinavian cruise from Copenhagen on June 6. However, I noticed that the Keukenhof Gardens are open until May 15, 2022.
