- ABOUT | justinaveryJustin Avery was born in Traverse City, Michigan where he grew up watching music in his Dad's nightclub Dill’s Olde Town Saloon. He was exposed to all kinds of music in the nightclub, rock, soul, blues, R&B, jazz etc. Along with being the club owner, his dad played guitar, sang and put together extravagant shows.
