- Dean Stockwell is DEAD to me - the Data LoungeDean Stockwell and Bradford Dillman were terrific as the Leopold and Loeb-like murderous pair in "Compulsion." Stockwell was married for a brief time to cute-as-a-button Millie Perkins from "The Diary of Anne Frank," while Dillman, as we know, was married forever to '50s supermodel Suzy Parker.
- Ambiguously Gay characters in past movies - the Data LoungeCouldn't disagree more. I was hot for Cam as a teen watching this genial but overrated comedy. Alan Ruck was goofy boy next door hotness, and he aged a lot better than Broderick. I'd still do Ruck today. And while we're talking about underappreciated sexy sidekicks from the 80s, watching John Stockwell always gave me a raging semi.
- Leading Men Who Didn't Quite Work Out - the Data LoungeJohn Hamm, like January Jones, was perfectly cast in Mad Men. But being good in a role that is almost tailor-made for you and being good in general are two different things. When he is playing anybody but Don Draper, Hamm is strangely charmless. And Jones just sucks.
- John Kraskinski Has a Rep as an Asshole - the Data LoungeYears ago, there was a Reddit thread where people who worked on TV or film crews spilled the tea on actors. A poster who was a crew member on The Office said that John Kraskinski and Jenna Fischer were assholes and hard to deal with on the set. In a way, I have to give a bit of credit to Kraskinski because he's had some success post Office.
