Bookmark or Share- Am I reading the new Subscription Plans Correctly? - inReach Mini 2 ...I use my InReach mini for motorcycle trips, offshore, and the like. I'm in Australia, currently I pay $55/year in suspended mode, then an additional $55/mth when I'm on safari - so if I do 2 trips a year, $165 for that year. Under the new regime (Essential plan at $25/mth) I'll be up for $300/year without having gone anywhere.

- Shouldn't a 67i set to Expedition Mode remain in Expedition Mode?Generally, the comparison involves configuring the 67i to match my settings, putting it in Expedition Mode, sending an InReach message to it, waiting, then checking its state after the message is received. Settings Menu: Expedition Mode setting should be "Prompted". Display settings (first two in order) "1 Minute", "Off".
- Question about switching to the Enabled Plan and subscription creditAccording to the FAQ on the new inReach plans, a change to Enabled this happens immediately and is pro-rated, which means that the amount you paid for your current plan is credited for the remainder of your billing cycle. The difference between the cost of the Enabled plan and the pro-rated amount is charged to your account.

Our new consumer plans are all month-to-month and only require a 30-day commitment.
