Bookmark or Share- Turnpike Widening US27 to I75 - Talk of The Villages FloridaConstruction starts in Spring 2025. This project widens an eight-mile segment of Florida’s Turnpike / SR 91 from US 27 to CR 470. This widening will increase the number of travel lanes from four to eight with accommodations for future express lanes. Work includes pavement reconstruction and bridge replacements.

- Walmart Submits Plans for Massive Supercenter Near The VillagesThe site plan, covering 81 pages, was recently submitted to Wildwood city officials for review and approval. Located at 1155 Waxman Drive, the new Walmart will occupy 33.5 acres of land owned by The Villages Land Operating Co. The site includes 867 parking spaces and 38 cart corrals on 14.75 acres.
