Bookmark or Share- Why the two dark lines on my images? Canon EOS 700D / T5iSome types of AC powered lighting actually pulses or blinks at these frequencies, at some shutter speeds the camera picks this up more. This is very noticeable if there is fluorescent lighting, computer light from monitors or TV screens, not as much on incandescent lighting and I am not sure about all types of LEDs, they may blink too.

1) Color temperature (degrees Kelvin) only compares the intensity of the red and blue components of the light. It totally ignores green. Fluorescent lights commonly have an excess of green. For that reason alone I would prefer to use incandescent lighting, which has the proper ratio of green to the other colors.
- Replacing slide projector bulb -- is an LED light an option?I don't know EU, but the US allows all kinds of special use lamps, enough for people who really like incandescent lamps. Rough service lamps (for fans and other vibration sources) are allowed. I suspect appliance lamps used in ovens might stay around, too. Current US restrictions allow halogen replacements for ordinary incandescent lamps,
- recommendation for classic light meter - Photo.netAmong my classic cameras, I have those that have no light meter, those with selenium meters that have either given up the ghost, provide suspect readings and some that do very well, and some with CdS meters who readings may be suspect because they were designed for mercury batteries.
