I went to C W Welding in Vesta, MN. He is one of the Ice Castle frame builders. He builds the heavier duty ones. He cut off the old axles and welded on new axles with heavier duty crank arms and cables and put on trailer brakes.

One side goes down perfectly, but the other side "binds" up. We usually have to use a spud bar under the fender to pry the wheel up enough to allow the house to sit correctly on the ice.
