Bookmark or Share- 2024 pheasant season - Upland Game Hunting - In-Depth OutdoorsPointing dog owners should consider the Garmin GPS. Game changer finding dogs on point in higher cover (bluestem, cattails, etc…). I have used one now for 10+ seasons. Would not hunt without a GPS collar on my dogs. My bells are all shelf items. No sounds except a buzz or a beep/buzz when the GPS detects the dog is on point.
- Wisconsin rifle season - Deer Hunting - In-Depth OutdoorsNot an ideal ‘gun’ stand but a good starting point and easy to slip into for a morning hunt. Nothing but squirrels from daybreak till 10 AM and then all hell broke loose. What started out as a buck fawn that snuck in on me turned into 6 deer in total, 4 adult bucks, the fawn and one unknown.

The total license count generally declines until 2008 when new license types were added, and people began buying multiple licenses, and then continues to decline after that again.

The gave up after 3 days of having guys set up on top of them and the non stop “squirrel” hunters stomping through the woods all day. I’m sure they’re are lesser known places but overall those big public pieces down there are trampled by hunters from September through December.
