“It’s his car.” versus “Its his car.” Which one is correct?
"Its his car" makes no sense while "It's his car" does because without the apostrophe it basically says, "It is his car." "Its" refers to that which possesses something, ex. "The cat opened its mouth." It has the same function as "his," "her," and "their."
