Bookmark or Share- How long does it take to actually recieve hazmat endorsement???My instructor who's also an independent tester for the state said specifically you *can't* take the hazmat test until after you pass the road test and get your CDL-A. The other endorsements like tanker and tandems you get w/ just your permit but apparently hazmat has to wait until you're fully licensed. At least in the state of TX apparently.
- If you have a HazMat Endorsement, read this! License renewal.Failure to walk in to the driver license office and exchange your HazMat CDL for a non-HazMat CDL will cancel your CDL. Obviously, if you want to keep your HM endorsement, renew it. But, if you want to drop your HM you have to walk into your state's driver license office and exchange it for a CDL without the HM endorsement on it.
