Bookmark or Share- Operating Systems for PowerPC Macs - MacRumors ForumsDec 1, 2016. #24. Voted for Mac OS, because as of now I haven't tried any alternative operating systems on PowerPC Macs. After getting through the hassle of trying Linux on my 2006 iMac, I'd like to make Tiger and Leopard as usable as possible. But a Linux installation is still in the long-term plan for my G5 Quad.

Pretty crazy how good black looks. I always said if they went with a darker black, it would be a no brainer for me, but that Desert looks so good to me.

Not sure from which year though, but the very first SB has definitely a deeper black. Apple does this all the time. The first "black" sport band is real black, while the later ones are more gray than black.
