Bookmark or Share- Getting new tires for trailer- To balance or not to balance?Hey guys/gals. I'm ready to get new tires put on my boat trailer (single axle, 13" tires). I keep hearing/seeing conflicting reports on balancing trailer tires. Some recommend it, some say it's not needed. Just curious what you all do when you get new tires mounted. Have a great weekend!
- What PSI do you fill your trailer tires to: tire recommendation or ...I was in the tire business with Goodyear for 15+ years managing several tire stores. @Glenn believe the tire manufacturer for advice on the tires care & maintenance. They are responsible for the warranty not the auto manufacture. Car dealers & manufactures will recommend air pressure to increase ride comfort at the expense of tire wear.

My Goodyear 215/75R-14's were 26.7" diameter, the new 205 Kumho 857's are 27". 0.30" difference. It your trailer is set up so that much difference gives you a problem...you've got other issues that need to be dealt with.
- What PSI do you fill your trailer tires to: tire recommendation or ...I have found no recommendation to underinflate any ST rated tire and won't get into the practice of some boat manufacturers to put vehicle tires on their trailers (BassCat for one).
