Gimel is the third (in alphabetical order; fifth in spelling order) letter of the Semitic abjads, including Arabic ǧīm ج , Aramaic gāmal 𐡂, Hebrew gīmel ג , Phoenician gīml 𐤂, and Syriac gāmal ܓ.
