The giant squid is the longest cephalopod out there. That’s the class of molluscs that includes squid, cuttlefish and octopuses. While there have been claims of these ocean giants achieving lengths of 15 or 20 metres, in reality they reach a far more modest 12 to 13 metres. More @Wikipedia
