Bookmark or Share- 2024 Tacoma with FWC? | Page 2 | Wander The WestSince the FWC Fleet Shell is a lighter unit, maybe a solution or possibly temporary solution would be to get airbags, but another poster said that airbags don’t work with coil springs. I keep going back and forth on getting a 2022 Tacoma vs a 2024. I realize the new Tacoma is untested but all those new upgrades are tempting.
- FWC....Project "M"? - Wander The WestMy initial take in 2019 was I didn't like the scramble onto the tailgate or the awkward duck downward (while standing on the tailgate) to enter it. But once inside I was impressed by the choices FWC had made in building it. I've seen some complaints about dust intrusion (because of the truck's tailgate) and water leaks at the camper-to-bedrail ...
- Tacoma MPG w/ FWC? - Wander The West2017 DCSB with 6MT and FWC Swift full camper. 2 inch lift standard shocks and airbags. Stock tires. Getting about 15mpg average. Agreed the range bothers me just as much as the lackluster MPG. The only full size that will beat this would be F-150 ecoboost but almost any lift or tire/wheel increase will quickly put it back to this range.
- FWC Finch Shell Model Solar Question | Wander The WestI have a solar wiring issue I’m hoping other FWC owners might be able to help with. I called FWC and stumped the guys there. They said they’ll research and call me back… I have a 2011 shell model Finch that i was told was pre-wired for solar. On the back drivers side wall I have a plug that I assumed was for solar.
- FWC Electrical basics and upgrading to lithium!100ah of lithium is probably adequate for many FWC users, but 200ah means the typical user would never need to worry about having enough battery, and is worth considering. Battleborn batteries are kind of the standard, but if space is an issue other very good batteries are available with different form factors.
