Bookmark or Share- How do i switch my fn+F1, F2.... keys functions to just F1, F2Your keyboard hardware chip itself detects the FN key and sends windows the resulting signal of either plan F2 or volume down (for example in this case), but Windows doesn't know that the FN key is involved, as far as Windows "knows", the volume-down and F2 really are two different keys.

- FN keys are reversed - Microsoft CommunityToshiba seems to have a utility that governs the FN Key functionality Open: ProgramFiles\Toshiba\Utilities run: TACSPROP by double clicking it Activate the box " Fn use sticky key", make sure the box "Fn key twice to lock" is on and apply settings. Now the Fn key toggles on/off by hitting the Fn key once/twice shortly.
