- Small block Chevy in a firebird - Team Camaro TechI am a Chevy guy, but the 67 firebird was given to me. So I am making it better by putting in a 350 Chevy. I bought mounts from classic industries, I put my 350 in. It is kinda tight at the power steering box. I want to install headers. I guess my question is this. Any one done this and did you buy camaro headers and is it tight at the p.s. pump?? Thanks
- Basic differences between 1st Gen Firebirds and Camaros - Team Camaro TechThe 67-68 Firebird uses a curved pitman arm ( to clear exhaust), I think. the dash knobs are different too, as well as the rear leaf springs and rear end (wider springs & external axle retainers instead of C clips. In 69 the Camaro dash was changed, the Firebird dash was only modified but all of the steering linkage was changed.
