Bookmark or Share- how do i finalize a cd after burning on a cd-rafter ripping a cd when i come to burn it onto a blank cd-r it wont play on a convential cd player only in the car or on my laptop help needed??

I treid finalizing these disks with Roxio Creator Basic, but it doesn't do anything, except eject the disks. Windows still says that the disks have free space, and the DVD player can't recognize them.
