Bookmark or Share- Bird Feeders - Talk of The Villages FloridaI trimmed the branches. They then would leap from my swimming pool enclosure screen onto the top of the feeders. I moved the feeders a foot farther away and that problem was solved. The most frequent visitors to my feeders are Cardinals, which come in great numbers, Blue Jays, Scrub Jays, and a dependable, recognizable red headed Woodpecker.

Strangely, about 5 years ago there was one street in The Villages, (I forget the name) where we were doing a lot of warranty inspections on that street that almost every house had multiple ruined screens because the birds would see their reflections and attack.

But the will bring in mice, and to follow the mice comes the snakes none of wich I want to have in my yard. I would stick with maybe a humming Bird feeder and attract the bee's and birds
- Hummingbirds in The Villages? - Talk of The Villages FloridaFeeders are not a good answer to attract hummingbirds in Florida. The best way is to plant native plants such as salvias and coral honeysuckle. I see hummingbirds when their favorite plants are in bloom. They are quick so you have to be alert in the garden in order to spot them. Butterflies are also attracted to Florida native plants.
