Emory actually has one of the highest proportion of Pell Grant recipients among top ten schools. Any reputation for snobbishness is undeserved. According to the sortable chart in the linked article, 19% of Emory freshman in 2015 were Pell Grant recipients.

- Question about Emory - College Confidential ForumsI just found out that Emory has a junior college which is called “Oxford College”. I just don’t understand why Emory has a junior college. It is very abnormal. Also, I heard that most of them will transfer to emory university after their sophomore year. Oxford college’s SAT average and Gpa of Freshmans is very low compare to emory college.

Emory honestly was a super close second. I had a really hard time deciding which school to apply EDI. I would DEFINITELY take Emory over the other schools I am applying RD ( Cornell, Georgetown, ect.
- ED1 vs ED2 Acceptance Rates for Emory - Emory University - College ...I do believe Emory values ED2 candidates and that those who apply ED2 get a big bump whereas the RDs do not. At that, I’ll disagree with others, although I believe ED2 had more admissions for Class of 2022 than for 2023. Of course, the Class of 2022 is Emory’s largest and they dialed that back last year. It’s tough to guess on trends.
