Bookmark or Share- 2017 Elantra SE 2.0 liter Nu MPI engine failureI have a 2016 elantra with 2.0 (gls manual - a Canadian model) that I'm desperately trying to keep running. I've just gotten used to checking and adding the oil every time i get gas, and buying 4L jugs of synth 5w20 from walmart (cheapest i can find).

I can put the car back into neutral and it will start back up with no issues and no check engine light comes on.

- VVT solenoid issue | Hyundai ForumsI have a 2018 Elantra with the 2.0 engine. Im getting the P0017 code. I replaced both VVT sensors and the crank sensor but the code came back. I had a shop run diagnostics and they say the exhaust actuator is not operating properly and needs replacement.
- 2013 elantra rough idle issue - possible solution - Hyundai ForumsGlad it work out for you. I might have to possibly replace the coils on my 2011 Elantra. It at 108,000 KM. I have the same problem when the A/C is engaged and also when the cooling system fan comes on. I thought it might be the cooling fan motor getting old but if the coils effect the A/C it could effect other drains on the electrical system.
