- Carolina Skiff into a duck boat - Duck Hunting ForumOn my J14 KitBoat I roughed the outside of the hull up with a red Scotchbright and painted with Parkers Duck Boat paint. Then camo stenciled over that. I used 3/4" x 3/4"16ga steel tube for the blind, which I painted with bedliner material. It was a basic scissor blind frame with camo material like an Avery.

- Duck boat floor - Duck Hunting ForumBoth floors have pros and cons. I think your decision should be simple and base it off longevity and cost. Aluminum = greater cost, more difficult install, and lasts forever. Wood floor = cheap, easy install, max life of 5-7 years if the boat get used weekly during duck season.
