Hilton would have to develop this functionality/feature. iOS 15 has made this a lot more simple for developers to include it. I could have tried it recently, as I requested a digi key but forgot as a key card is still just as easy as I was going to reception anyway.

It really depends on the location. I've had 100% success rate at locations in the Bay Area. The Walnut Creek Marriott often gives me my key early in the morning, as early as 9AM.

I think Hyatt has given up on fixing the bluetooth version of digital key and seems to be pushing towards rolling out the NFC based key on Apple Devices. The problem is that Hyatt seems to only support one vendor of lock (Vingcard) at the moment which leaves all the properties with relatively new DormaKaba systems in a crappy limbo.
