Bookmark or Share- Calibrating Rec2020/DCI-P3 for UHD? - AVS ForumI fully understand HDR (HDR10 vs. DV and their respective implementations) but where I am getting a little lost is WCG. From what I have read, there are two mainstream WCG formats: DCI-P3 (used in most cinemas) and Rec2020 which, as of right now, is not even being anywhere close to within reach for consumer technology.

- Is 85% DCI-P3 color coverage enough for a display to...1. Is 85% P3 color coverage closer to 100% P3, or closer to 100% rec709? 2. Is 85% "enough" to get much out of wide color gamut content, or is it not going to be much different from a rec709 display playing SDR blu ray discs? I am asking for use with a 1080p display with 85% P3 color gamut coverage in mind.
- BenQ X3000i 4K/HDR/DCI-P3 4LED Gaming Projector Review...The advantages of the BenQ's 4LED light engine are again apparent here as the X3000i is capable of producing over 85% of the DCI-P3 color gamut without engaging the wide color filter. Most of the primaries track fairly except magenta which drifts towards red and takes on a pinkish hue.
